Your Impact as a Hospitalist at CVETS
As a Hospitalist, you'll be at the forefront of providing consistent, high-quality maintenance care for animals under our supervision. You'll work closely with our Emergency Doctors and Critical Care Specialists, ensuring seamless continuity of care and allowing our emergency and critical care teams to focus on new critical cases while their existing patients receive dedicated attention.

- Dedicated Patient Management: Oversee the daily medical care of hospitalized patients, including monitoring, diagnostics, and executing treatment plans prescribed by the primary attending services.
- Essential Support Role: Act as a critical extension of our Emergency and Critical Care teams, providing ongoing management of inpatients.

Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree (VMD)
- Current, active, and unrestricted veterinary license in the state of South Carolina, or eligibility to obtain one prior to employment.
- Completion of a rotating internship or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated passion for patient care and commitment to providing high-quality medical management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with emergency doctors, critical care specialists, other specialists, support staff, and pet owners.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills, with the ability to assess patient status, interpret diagnostic results, and execute treatment plans.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining a calm and compassionate demeanor.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate and thorough medical records.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
