Prisma Health, the largest not-for-profit healthcare provider in South Carolina, seeks full time BC or BE Pediatricians to join a strong team providing quality pediatric care in a new expanded access primary care site.  

Details:

•          The practice offers a combination of well-child visits for patients aged four and older, along with acute outpatient care, serving as an additional access point to help reduce unnecessary emergency department visits within the community.
•          The pediatric program operates from 9 AM to 9 PM on weekdays and from 12 PM to 6 PM on weekends.
•          There are no on-call or after-hours responsibilities.
•          Scheduling is coordinated among several physicians to ensure coverage while maintaining a balanced workload.
•          Shifts are structured as 12-hour shifts (9 AM – 9 PM) on weekdays and 6-hour shifts (12 PM – 6 PM) on weekends.

The Department of Pediatrics has a record of academic achievement, financial success, and high faculty morale. The Department along with our Children’s Hospital presently provide 500,000 patient encounters annually with 7,500 admissions and over 30,000 pediatric emergency room visits. The department has 18 divisions, is actively growing with planned new programs and faculty hires throughout. While primarily teaching clinicians, some faculty are engaged in research with infrastructure support.
